Concealed Carry 2.0
Concealed Carry 2.0 attendees will have already obtained their LTC (License to Carry) and may or may not have a handgun yet. This class is your next step in increasing your knowledge in the proper and safe manner in handling a handgun. You may train with a revolver or semi-automatic handgun.
It cannot be overemphasized how important safety is when handling firearms. We will review the 4 Universal Safety Rules and abide by these rules at all times. Any violation may result in a temporary ‘time out’ or termination of training for the day.
Topics to be covered.
Safety Briefing.
Proper grip, manipulation techniques and familiarization with the controls. Drawing from concealed and reholstering. Avoiding common training ‘scars’. Clearing malfunctions. Mastering the ‘work space’ with rapid magazine changes. Engaging multiple targets. Shooting on the move. Shooting from different positions.

The Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals book, an excellent resource by the USCCA, is highly recommended and available for purchase for $35.
The live fire shooting and theoretical training is at TDSA (The Defensive Shooting Academy) and the range fee is $20. The address is 1125 Wolf Springs Rd Ferris, TX 75125. TDSA is an outdoor range so dress appropriately for current weather conditions. The range is not paved so we will be on gravel and dirt, closed toe shoes are recommended. You must bring all your own supplies: hearing and eye protection is mandatory and 200 rounds of ammunition, as there is no store on site. A limited supply of handguns are available for a $10 rental fee from RG Firearms Training. B-27, assorted paper targets and the use of a variety of AR500 steel targets are included in the cost of the class.
The $20 range fee (cash or check) will be collected at TDSA.
